Job Summary
The Executive – Business Development is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market reach, and strengthening relationships with dealers, contractors, and key customers. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, increasing product penetration, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets assigned by the company
- Drive secondary sales through dealer networks
- Promote company products (decorative paints, coatings, etc.) to customers and influencers
2. Market Development
- Identify and develop new markets, territories, and customer segments
- Conduct regular market surveys to understand competition and pricing trends
- Increase brand visibility through local promotions and campaigns
3. Dealer & Channel Management
- Appoint and manage dealers/distributors
- Maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners
- Ensure timely order placement, stock availability, and supply coordination
4. Customer & Influencer Engagement
- Build relationships with contractors, architects, interior designers, and builders
- Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure satisfaction
5. Business Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales plans and forecasts for assigned territory
- Track sales performance and submit regular reports
- Maintain data on customers, competitors, and market activities

Educational Qualification

Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in sales/business development
- Experience in FMCG, building materials, or paints industry preferred
