Job Summary
The Field Supervisor – Construction is responsible for supervising the installation of elevators and escalators at construction sites. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise installation of elevators/escalators at project sites
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Monitor daily site activities and workforce productivity
2. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, builders, and internal teams
- Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower
- Track project progress and resolve site issues
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Identify and mitigate risks at the site
4. Quality Control
- Inspect installation work to ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Conduct testing and support commissioning activities
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records, progress reports, and checklists
- Report project status to management regularly
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and handovers
6. Client Interaction
- Communicate with clients regarding project updates
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction and installation processes
- Basic understanding of elevator/escalator systems (preferred)
- Leadership and team coordination skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance
- Good communication skills
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in construction, installation, or project supervision
- Experience in elevator/escalator industry preferred
