Job Summary
The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, building strong relationships with doctors and chemists, and achieving sales targets. The role focuses on increasing product awareness, prescription generation, and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Doctor & Healthcare Engagement
- Visit doctors, physicians, and hospitals to promote products
- Explain product benefits, usage, and clinical advantages
- Build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals
2. Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Generate prescriptions for promoted products
- Increase product reach and market share
3. Territory Management
- Plan and manage daily field visits efficiently
- Cover assigned territory (doctors, clinics, hospitals, chemists)
- Maintain detailed records of visits and sales
4. Product Knowledge & Promotion
- Maintain strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products
- Conduct product presentations and campaigns
- Stay updated with industry trends and competitor products
5. Chemist & Stockist Coordination
- Ensure product availability at chemists and distributors
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
- Build relationships with stockists
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain daily call reports (DCR) and monthly reports
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
- Follow ethical promotion practices
Required Skills & Competencies

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc / B.Pharm / D.Pharm / Life Sciences preferred)
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in pharma sales
- Freshers with science background can apply
